Win a Las Vegas Vacation from Hyatt and MGM

MGM ResortsI’m working with Hyatt this week to promote their new partnership with MGM Resorts, and that includes offering a great vacation giveaway to my readers! Read my post to learn more about how you can earn elite status and points with Hyatt Gold Passport every time you stay at a participating MGM Resort in Las Vegas (and vice versa).

The partnership went live on June 20, allowing you to earn Hyatt points and elite stay credit. Status matches between Hyatt’s Gold Passport program and MGM’s M life program will begin in August.

Hyatt and MGM have graciously provided one Grand Prize:

  • 22,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points
  • 2 Las Vegas show tickets
  • 2 admission passes to an MGM Resort attraction

Those 22,000 points are enough for at least one night at any participating MGM Resort in Las Vegas, and almost enough for two or three nights if you stay at Luxor or Excalibur. Attractions may include the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage, or the Roller Coaster at New York-New York. The exact Las Vegas shows are still being decided (but the ideas I heard were great).

How to enter:

To enter, I want you to share which participating MGM Resort is your favorite. There are lots of ways to choose a favorite, whether it’s the most glamorous, the cheapest (more money to party!), or just a great compromise between cost and amenities. Cast your vote and you get one entry. Like or follow this blog or share a tweet to get up to three bonus entries.¬†Enter by Thursday at 11:59 PM Pacific Time so I can announce the winner on Friday. You must be at least 21 years old to enter.

None of the options for extra entries into the contest appear to be working. App won’t log into twitter or allow entry when I like you on Facebook.

    • Scottrick

I’ll take a look. used to work in the past.

      • Jeanne @ HeelsFirst

It worked for me, for whatever that’s worth

    • Scottrick

      Seems to be working now.

  • Dave

I also can’t use either of the Twitter options, although I did get the FB option to work

    • Scottrick

      Should be working now.

  • CodeAdam10

I chase views of the Bellagio fontains from my room when I visit Vegas. So I’ll have to say Bellagio. Plus their conservatory is truly amazing and I can easily spend a couple of hours there feeling WOWed!

  • Mark

I Love THE HOTEL, modern and spacious

    • Scottrick

I hear it’s getting acquired sometime soon. It will be interesting to see what happens.

  • Michael W Travels

Nice giveaway! I’d choose the Bellagio for the dancing fountains and luxury inside!

  • Tanu

I’d go with the Bellagio. Elegant interior and plenty of history, and the fountains are a sight to see.

  • Nguyen

My favorite MGM is the Bellagio. It is very elegant, and I love to see the fountains. Thanks.

    • Scottrick

Don’t forget to look up! I like the Chihuly installation in the ceiling of the lobby.

  • 323kid

New York New York is my family’s favorite. The happier they are, the easier it is for me to get away and gamble.

  • jb

I vote for Vdara because I like the rooms.

    • Scottrick

Vdara is great since the rooms have mini kitchens. You could save some money by cooking a small breakfast or lunch and splurge on the nighttime activities.

  • Naina Sood

I think my favorite might have to be the Aria – for the name (which they share with one of my favorite cousins) and the sleek modern feel and warm service :)

  • Scottrick

Update on the poll. So far Bellagio is winning with Aria a close second. It’s interesting to see the numbers shift back and forth. MGM and Mirage are competing for third.

  • Marco

The one and only Bellagio. The place is magical.

  • Sean

Anyone know if you get hyatt points from booking through MLife?

    • Scottrick

Yes, it should count since you pay the hotel directly. (It’s equivalent to booking through but the rates can be lower.)

  • Faye

My favorite is the Bellagio, love those fountains.

  • Chris

THEhotel would have to be my favorite! Love the suites there :)

    • Scottrick

Any opinion on THEhotel vs. Mandalay Bay? I hear sometimes when you ask for an upgrade, they offer to switch hotels.

  • Eric

The Bellagio, for the fountains at night – and the cool artwork inside!

  • Wany

    Excalibur for cheap Hyatt status
Mirage for the great location and view
Aria for the great hotel itself

  • sherry

The Bellagio rocks! A dream come true! Deja vu! I’m reliving memories of my honeymoon in Italy! Dancing fountains, amazing music, ambience, art………amore!

  • Dustin

Can’t beat the fountains at the Bellagio!

  • Linda K.

Absolutely love the Bellagio for the fountains!

  • Trajan81

Bellagio is my favorite of the MGM brands, and this may actually help pull me away from the Wynn which is my favorite overall.

  • Paul

When people think of Las Vegas casinos, the Bellagio is what comes to mind.

  • Alan

My favorite MGM Resort in Las Vegas is the Bellagio.

  • Johnny

Vdara is my favorite – the lobby’s aroma therapy, a day spa pass, and the zen garden always take me to heaven.

  • Dan

New York-New York – for the Ri-Ra house band at Nine Fine Irishmen

    • Scottrick

New York-New York does a surprisingly good job of scaling down the city. I was skeptical my first time visiting, but I left impressed.

  • Hans

Bellagio has to be the best.

  • Kristi

    Bellagio takes the top spot!

  • mitch

    Bellagio is a beautiful hotel

  • nick

i’d have to say that THEhotel is my favorite!

  • Nick F

The bellagio is the winner for me

  • MrAlexMoore

I really like the Aria, mostly because it’s new and stunning. Haven’t been able to afford to stay there… until now!

  • MrChu

    I love Bellagio

    • Scottrick

The Bellagio fans seem to be pulling ahead! …

  • Charlie

The Aria is simply stunning. I feel like a king while there!

    • Scottrick

And they have that awesome bakery and chocolate shop in the back!

  • Meaghan Rhoades

Bellagio because of the beautiful fountains, or New York-New York because i LOVE roller coasters!

  • Leigh

Well since I also love a good bakery, I have to go with the Aria.

  • Steve

I love the Bellagio, but not for the same reason as most. I won the most money ever playing Casino War (yes, Casino War) in the Bellagio with one of the funniest dealers I’ve ever seen in Vegas. It was a great trip with buddies after college graduation.

  • Vants

The MGM Grand Signature is the best since the rooms are king suites aka mini luxury condos! Plus you get access to all of MGM’s amenities aka the LAZY POOL and the 5 story nightclub/restaurant Hakkasan!

  • Baburaj

Bellagio for the fountains and Oceans’ 11

  • Brett Albertson

    MGM Grand – the Lions!

  • Steve Zussino

  • David

    The fountains @ Bellagio

  • Matt

    Bellagio Fountains!

  • Michael Macken

Bellagio all the way to gamble and those fountains are stunning.

  • Jeff

I would definitely stay at Aria!

  • Deneetro

I like the Signature at MGM. Large rooms, some with balconies. Quiet but yet close enough to the action.

  • Ruth

Can’t go past the luxury of the Bellagio

    • Scottrick

The Petrossian and Baccarat Bars do have their merits.

  • Little Tea Blog

I love the Mirage because they have Boyz II Men and dolphins! What more could you want?

    • Scottrick

Sometimes I wish I could do Men II Boyz. Being an adult is so complicated sometimes!

  • David

I love the Bellagio because it is gorgeous and of course the “O” show is performed there!

  • MO

My favorite is the MGM Grand, where all the best UFC fights happen at the Grand Arena.

  • Lee

Never been to Vegas but I’ll join the Bellagio bandwagon.

  • naresh

    I will love bellagio

  • Mike Wazowski

Is it sad to make a twitter account just to improve my chances?

    • Scottrick

Keep in mind that while there are three bonus entries available, not everyone selects them. Your odds are not so bad if you choose to enter only once.

  • RestlessLocationSyndrome

My favorite is Circus Circus but because they are not participating with this Hyatt deal, I will have to go with Excalibur. You can’t beat going to Vegas and spending all your time in the arcade and playing carnival games… or watching a jousting tournament while eating dinner.

But realistically, if I won, I’d stay at Bellagio, watch Zarkana at Aria and go to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay.

  • Bill N

    I like Mandalay Bay.

  • Rockland Pacific

I like Mandalay Bay. Even though it’s a little further from the action it definitely leaves your pocketbook full to indulge at other MGM resorts!!

  • Stephanie

    Mandalay Bay!!

  • Scott

The Mirage – it may have been eclipsed by newer properties, but it’s still classy and it was the hotel that started the Las Vegas revitalization in the 90’s. I remember being there for Comdex the week before they opened.

  • Benny Hsu

My favorite is the Bellagio. It has the fountain show, the always changing gardens, and centrally located on the strip. Can’t go wrong staying there!

  • Dan R

  • Shawn

The mirage. With the volcano out front and my first trio there for a BP we had an amazing suite that was awesome and envy of a friend living in Vegas at the time.

  • lee

  • andyonthego

    I love the bellagio

  • Heather L. Cannady

    Bellagio for sure!

  • Chanel @ LaViajeraMorena

    Bellagio it is!

  • Perryplatypus

  • Lou

    Bellagio most definitely. Fingers crossed.

  • Eric

Vdara, huge difference when there is no casino sound and smoke!

  • ann

    Signature. At MGM

  • Neer

Love Las Vegas kitsch. It would have to be the Luxor.

  • ryan

    aria ftw!
