Every month, one of my readers helps me organize a local meetup in the Seattle area. This was recently moved from the third Thursday to the third Tuesday to make it easier to find space for the growing group. Next week it will be hosted at Liberty Bar in Capitol Hill.
This bar has a private back room with a small presentation setup so we can start adding more substance to the meeting, such as short talks about new manufactured spend tricks or trip reports on recent destinations. As part of that, I’ve also convinced my wife to attend next week’s event. She’s an architect and will speak about a project she worked on for Boeing, helping them design and construct their Everett Delivery Center. This is effectively a miniature airport terminal that Boeing uses to stage events and hand over the keys when delivering a new plane to a customer.
517 15th Ave. E.
(Go to the back of the bar and push on the mirror. It opens into the back room.)
If you plan to make it to the event, please RSVP on Meetup.com so we know you’ll be coming. We’re typically there around 5 PM until after dinner, so show up when you’re able.
