Starwood Preferred Guest usually has a public promotion every quarter, but recently it has also started issuing targeted promotions that apply on top of these public offers.
Just recently I wrote about the chance to earn double or triple Starpoints during an upcoming promotion that runs from May to July. You’ll need to log into your account and visit the offer page to find if you’re eligible for one of these additional offers.
Loyalty Lobby has the most comprehensive list of all the different offers, which max out at 21,000 bonus points for 21 stays. That’s a lot of points but also a lot of work to get there. One Mile at a Time reports being offered double nights or double stays for qualifying credit toward elite status. (Which seems almost irrelevant since he lives in hotels full time.)
My own offer was for a maximum of 7,500 points after four stays. Since these stays could be one night each, that’s not bad at all.
- Second stay earns 2,000 Starpoints
- Third stay earns 2,500 Starpoints
- Fourth stay earns 3,000 Starpoints
Keep in mind that you must register before any stays for them to credit. Registration must take place by June 1, and stays must occur between April 1 and June 30. Sadly that means past stays won’t qualify if you didn’t register despite the fact Starwood seems not to have notified anyone for two weeks.
