The Seattle Mariners are giving away 50% off coupons to the first 11,500 fans who arrive at the stadium, according to flyupfrnt on FlyerTalk. This is only valid for the game against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday, June 7, at 7:10 PM. (The stadium holds about 47,000 people if you’re wondering.)
In theory this discount will help you travel to one of the Mariners’ away games, but just like last week’s discount for gay pride celebrations you can use this discount for something else. There are several eligible destinations and a large window of eligible dates not tied to any specific game.
MAJOR CAVEAT #1: The game is on June 7, and the coupon T&Cs require that you purchase your ticket by 11:59 PM on June 8.
MAJOR CAVEAT #2: The coupon can be used for travel to any of 10 destinations between September 15 and November 15.
MAJOR CAVEAT #3: The coupon value drops to 25% if you travel Thursday-Monday.
As a thank you to all of the passionate Mariners fans who travel Alaska Airlines throughout the year, we’re offering the first 11,500 fans a voucher for up to 50% of their next flight to:
50% discount valid for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday.
25% discount valid for travel on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
Each voucher is good for up two people for travel between September 15 and November 15, 2016. Vouchers must be redeemed by June 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
But hey, I can probably meet those restrictions, and we were planning to go to a baseball game anyway. The exact game doesn’t matter to us.
Sports are not my thing. I do know that the weather is trending to be warm and sunny, and these days the sun doesn’t really set until 9 PM. It’s as good a time as any to spend an evening outdoors.
