And just yesterday I reminded you that your reservation details and frequent flyer number can be found on a boarding pass that you would otherwise carelessly publish on the Internet.
Miles and points aren’t the same as cash, but they do have a lot of value and are a lot easier for people to steal. A good username and password are just the start.
Starwood Preferred Guest is adding new security questions to its members’ online profiles so that they can identify members. This is in addition to recognizing the devices your using to connect with SPG, much like many banks and credit card issuers already do. Just log onto SPG to get it done. (Offer details available on FlyerTalk.) Most of the questions have to do with where you enjoy traveling.
If you answer the four questions by October 31, 2015, you’ll get a free 150 Starpoints. It’s not a lot, but it’s good for your account’s security and adds a nice bump to your balance. May as well do it now when there’s a promo than wait until later…
