The best deal in MS is back again for Thanksgiving week! OfficeMax stores is giving $20 off instantly when you purchase $300 in gift cards or more in store. As I’ve explained many times before, this is the best deal in Manufactured Spending since you not only earn points, but you also get paid to do it.
This deal, however, is even better because it doesn’t seem to be limited, aside from the $1,800 transaction limit. That means you’ll get $20 off for EVERY $300 in gift cards!
If you buy the maximum $1,800 in Visa gift cards (9 x $200), you’d normally pay fees of $62.55 on top of that. With this deal, you’ll actually make $57.45. There are no rebates here either, so you’ll walk out the door having paid $1,742.55.
That’s right – using your Chase Ink card you’ll earn 8,713 Ultimate Rewards points and make $57.45 for your troubles!
This is most definitely a deal I am taking advantage of….multiple times. Note that I recommend Visas over MasterCard because they are easier to liquidate.
If you need help with liquidation, check out my post on Bluebird, which has been my favorite way to unload these types of gift cards for years.
Note: I’ve been informed me that the official T&Cs do state a limit, however this is not necessarily being enforced. It is not a cash register limitation, it is a cashier/human limitation.
