Alaska Airlines is bringing back a popular promotion from last year’s ski season, in which you can book and fly twice to any of your favorite ski destinations and get a third ticket for free (you still pay the taxes and fees of ~$21).
Qualifying ski destinations include:
- Crested Butte/Gunnison
- Mammoth Lakes
- Reno/Lake Tahoe
- Salt Lake City
- Steamboat Springs
- Sun Valley
Crested Butte and Steamboat Springs are new destinations for Alaska Airlines this year, although I’m still a big fan of Salt Lake City because of the airport’s convenience to big resorts in Utah. The car rental lot is across the street from baggage claim, and Park City is just ~30 minutes away.
You must register for the promotion before February 5, 2016, and fly by February 23, 2016, in order to qualify for the free round-trip ticket. The free ticket is issued as a discount code, not unlike the free companion fare you can get with an Alaska Airlines credit card, and must be redeemed between February 1 and April 23, 2016.
Full terms and conditions are available on the Alaska Airlines website. However, I don’t see any blackout dates listed.
