I’m a big fan of Hyatt partly because I’m a Costco member, and using the discount code COSTCO regularly gets me a 10-20% discount that is both (1) refundable and (2) equal to or better than the pre-paid non-refundable rate. This makes it easier to check back and rebook if the price ever goes lower. Hyatt also has AAA discounts, but I need to fish out my membership number, and it doesn’t work as often as COSTCO. I can’t remember the last time a domestic Hyatt didn’t have a Costco discount.
Loyalty Lobby reports that there is a new limited-time promotion offering a larger 25% discount to Costco members at select Hyatt properties in the Southwest. For once, Hyatt has given us a list of participating properties, something they often overlook during their 48 hour sales. You still face a challenge finding available dates when the discount is actually being offered. Just looking at this list, however, I recognize many names that often have discounted rates.
This offer is available between August 26 and December 30, 2013. Use the offered code COSSW when making your reservation. Unfortunately, the first night’s room and tax is due at the time of reservation and is not refundable. So the terms are not as good as the usual Costco discount.
