Hertz Promo Extended: 2,000 United Miles per Rental (and More for Elites!)

by Caroline Lupini
Last updated February 1, 2019

United Airlines and Hertz have been running a great promotion for rentals, and it has just been extended through September 30, 2017.

If you’re a non-elite member with United, you’ll earn 2,000 bonus United miles for every rental. Global Services and 1K elite members can earn up to 2,750 bonus United miles on every rental.

You can reserve your rental directly through the promotion page on United’s website or you reserve through Hertz as long as you include the following information:

  • CDP: 62455
  • PC#: 305023
  • Your MileagePlus number

Is 2,000+ United Miles per Hertz Rental a Good Deal?

Since the terms of this promotion require that rentals be at least for one day, this is a great deal for short term car rentals. I value my United miles around two cents each, so this represents about a $40 rebate on a car rental. There have been plenty of times that I’ve rented a car for a single day and it has come in lower than that! So I’d say this is a pretty fantastic deal.

Even if you value your United miles at a more conservative 1.5 cents each, this still represents a $30 rebate on your car rental with Hertz.

Hertz does tend to be more expensive than other car rental companies, so it is worth shopping around, but if you have a short car rental this bonus could tip the scales!
