Last updated March 5, 2026

Let’s get to the point, everyone is talking about Antarctica and South Georgia. After all it’s hot right now! Even Nicole Kidman went to Antarctica recently and posted about it. People want to see the 7th continent. From being a checkmark on your bucket list to seeing penguins and whales there are lots of reasons to go. Yet now you can go in relative luxury and comfort for less than $8,000 per person! Trip to South Georgia start at below $14,000! This is about 2-7K less per person that typical pricing.

I’ve been to Antarctica annually for the last 3 years. I love it. I’ve also been to South Georgia twice now. The wildlife in South Georgia is stunning, the scenery even better and watching the King Penguins and Giant Petrels make the journey worth it! This trip is expensive, but once you go, you’ll understand why. Points won’t get you there, so you might as well spend money on it!

Private HX Expedition Pricing

Everyone loves a deal. I know I do after all! Yet now I can save you up 15% off most HX Expedition trips. From Antarctica to Svalbard, Alaska, Greenland, Galapagos, and nearly everywhere in between I have deals for you. Deals so low I am not allow to actually share them publicly. But what I can tell you is that I have 92 departures in 2026 and early 2027 on sale and below market rates!

The point of this blog is about the white continent and the marine diverse South Georgia and Falkland islands, black-browed albatross anyone? If you want to see Gentoo, chinstrap, or Adelie penguins but you don’t want to drop $13,000+ for Seabourn then there are more affordable options!

If you want to go on the newly refreshed MS FRAM with just 200 guests to South Georgia, pricing for a 21 day trip is now less than $14,000! Know that the competition is charger $18,000 – $30,000 for a similar price trip. Over the same dates!

Why Choose HX?

I went to Alaska (also on sale for less than $4K!) in 2024 with HX and I had an amazing time. Yes two of their ships can hold up to 500 people, but they rarely sail with that many. HX is great at having deals for solo travelers which means less people on the ship! Plus they often do not sell every cabin. On my trip we were closer to 300 people. And with some much deck space and inside space, it never felt crowded anywhere. The ship felt empty to be honest. It was great!

More importantly HX offers amazing all inclusive pricing. Pay for your trip and nearly everything is included. The only thing you have to still pay for is Kayaking or Camping in Antarctica. Otherwise open bar, Wi-fi, staff gratuities, daily activities and landings and more in all included in the price. When it’s time to go on a hike, an adventure off the ship or just sit in the jacuzzi or dry Finnish sauna. It’s all included!

I also really love how science focus HX is. This isn’t a cruise, it’s an expedition. Every day I went to amazing lectures and learned from the team. At meal times I was able to continue conversation with the very diverse and educated expedition team. Eager to learn and experience, HX offers a hands on learning experience.

Also EVERY HX ship has an amazing science lab. Among the best I’ve seen in the industry. Citizen Science projects encourages guests to get involved. From tracking whales to seeing what’s in the water and taking samples back to the lab. There’s so much to learn and do, it’s great for all ages! I still recall the multiple projects we did on my last trip. No one can compete with this level of hands on experience.

Bottom Line

If you want to visit Antarctica or South Georgia there are some amazing deals right now. Up to nearly 40% off South Georgia and upwards to 15% to Antarctica. These prices are by far the lowest prices I have seen for a premium product in a long time. I have sent several guests to Antarctica with HX Expeditions and every guest has came back with amazing stories and positive reviews. If you want to visit Antarctica but don’t want to spend a fortune these deals are for you. There is no promise how long these deals will last for. Contact me today to book.
