Review: Iberia Madrid Barajas T4S Lounge

by Rocky Horan
Last updated March 27, 2019

The Iberia Lounge at Madrid Barajas airport in terminal 4S is by far the best Iberia lounge in Madrid. The lounge offers all the amenities of other lounges, but also offers an upgraded buffet along with cold prepackaged items as the lounge is located in the non-Schengen secured flight area of the airport and is primarily used by long haul travelers to the Americas, Middle east, Africa, Asia, and beyond. The lounge is hidden and is accessible post security, after immigrations, and the entrance blends in well with the wall of the Duty free.

The large lounge has all the bell and whistle one would expect in a high end airline’s lounge. There’s even a restaurant in one corner for Frist class and other passengers to order a proper dinner before long haul flights. When I was visiting the restaurant was closed, but I still snuck inside to get a few pictures! In addition to the typical lounging area, there is a proper sleep room with beds in an extremely dim room which is conducive for sleeping, multiple shower rooms, a business center, and tons of area to sit, each, socialize and relax.

Longer Viideo tour – Found out I need a better camera!

If you are visiting the Madrid Barajas airport, skip the lounge closest to security and head to T4s asap. This lounge is nicer, quieter, larger, and has more to offer! I really enjoyed by two hour stay in the lounge and look forward to flying long haul from Madrid in the future!
