Alaska Airlines Plans Nonstop Service to Charleston, Nashville, and Raleigh/Durham

Alaska Airlines continues to expand eastward from Seattle with the announcement of three new nonstop cities; the airline continues to grows their home base and further extend their reach in an effort to remain Seattle’s largest airline. This Fall, Alaska Airlines will add nonstop service from Seattle to Charleston, South Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee and Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina and offer Seattle-Tacoma international airport first nonstop service to all three destinations*.

New service will be offered year round by Alaska Airlines and will utilize Boeing 737 offering 16 first class seats and ~140 economy class seats. All flights will feature Alaska Beyond food and entertainment options, allowing customers to bring their own media devices and stream hundreds of hours of entertainment, GoGo inflight Wi-Fi and individual power ports.

The three new flights will grow Alaska’s Seattle network to 83 destinations from Seattle with 290 peak daily flights and each new destination fits perfectly in Alaska’s push east and drive to connect Seattle with other major cities throughout North America. Nashville will connect Seattle’s vibrant music scene with the country music capital, Raleigh/Durham and the research triangle will connect researchers, biotech companies and businesses in the Northwest with some of the best in the Southeast; and Charleston will offer direct connection between Boeings largest manufacturing plants.

Introductory one-way fares starting at $139* to Charleston and Nashville and $159 * to Raleigh/Durham are on sale today at www.alaskaair.com. Tickets must be purchased by May 4 and travel completed by Nov. 18 for Nashville and Raleigh/Durham, and by Dec. 19 for Charleston. Monitor MileagePlan deals in the coming weeks too, as Alaska tends to offer double redeemable miles on new routes.

*Nashville is currently served seasonally from Seattle by Southwest Airlines
