United Airlines Seeks to Be Less Awful

by Rocky Horan
Last updated January 6, 2019

I won’t lie, I never have liked United Airlines. I attempted to fly United back in 2013 and had nothing but bad, negative experiences with the airline. After flying nearly 30,000 miles in two months with United I opted to avoid the airline going forward, a decision I have not regretted.

In actuality I never flew United pre-merger with Continental, but I flew Continental back in the day and LOVED Continental Airlines when they were Northwest Airline’s partner, but whatever happened during the United merger, ruined the airlines that most of us loved, whether it be Continental or United!

Regardless, United Airlines is trying to turn around and they are trying to be less awful with new enhancements which includes Free Meals for Top Tier Elites in economy, and free basic snacks for all passengers.

This last week Bloomberg discuss United’s Quest more in depth, take a listen

The Bloomberg Advantage: United’s Quest to Be Less Awful

The Bloomberg Advantage with Carol Massar and Cory Johnson.

GUEST: Drake Bennett Writer Bloomberg Businessweek Discussing his Bloomberg Businessweek story “United’s Quest to Be Less Awful.” A bungled merger. A corruption scandal. Three CEOs in a year. But hey, at least the snacks are free again.

Interesting soundbite, Can United Turn around? Or is the cheap fuel doing the work for them?
