American Airlines is upgrading their wine in premium cabins on select flights. American likes to claim they are known for their amazing wine program, but we’ve also seen American Airline serve $5 wine on international routes in premium cabins. You pay $5,000 to fly to London and get to enjoy five buck chuck. Well, guess that that is now ending.
American Airlines is investment in the premium inflight in first and business class on select flights. Guests will enjoy new California wines across select premium cabins beginning May 13. This rollout represents the first phase of a broader refresh to the airline’s wine program. So hopefully we’ll see the drink choices improve across all routes.
On International Flagship First and Flagship Business, such as routes to deep South America, Asia and Europe guests will have new options including
- Truchard Vineyards Chardonnay
- Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon
On transcontinental Flagship First and Flagship Business between LAX, SFO, and SNA to New York city and Select Boston flights guest will enjoy upgrades too. Now enjoy
- Migration Chardonnay
- Justin Cabernet Sauvignon
American Airlines says that “These labels were selected for their strong industry recognition, exceptional flavor profiles and alignment with the elevated dining experience American continues to build across its premium cabins.” Which I can somewhat agree with as I do know most of these wines. I am not a fan of California Chardonnay, but I can agree that Decoy Cab Sauv is delicious on land, so hopefully it is in the air as well!
