American Express offers is helping you get to Australia for less with their latest travel offer. American Express offers unique discounts and bonuses through Amex offers. These can save card holders money and/or provide them with bonus membership reward points. This time the Amex offer is for flights on Qantas originating from the United States.
The offer allows American Express card holders to save $150 off any Qantas flight when they spend $700 or more with Qantas. Like all Amex offers, this is targeted. Flights must be booked directly with Qantas on their website and charges must be in USD. Flights must be purchased by June 30, 2019, but you can travel any time after that date. Do note, the Terms and conditions are very clear about what counts and what does not. “Flights must originate in US and be charged in USD. Not valid for purchases by phone, at terminals, lounges, or on-board flights. Purchases such as additional baggage and seat selection fees are included if purchased with initial booking and appears on the same receipt as the flight.”
This offer is available on my American Express Platinum, along with my no fee Hilton Honors American Express Card. I did not find it on my Marriott Bonvoy American Express card. However, that does not mean that select individuals may or may not be targeted on said card. Rumors on reddit say that some people are being offered 15,000 membership reward points instead of $150 rebate.
If you’re planning a trip to Australia or anywhere down under, check your American Express offers to see if you are targeted.
