Amex Offers of 100K, 75K, and 50K Using Private Browsing!

There are a trio of fantastic American Express offers available ranging from 50K to 100K bonus Membership Rewards points as of August 26, and if you’re interested I recommend taking advantage immediately.

Amex Platinum 100K
I just loaded this minutes ago!

American Express Platinum 100K Offer

This is an offer that comes around roughly once a year or year and a half, so I recommend taking full advantage if you haven’t had this card before. This isn’t as straightforward a simple link, so here’s what you need to do:

  1. Click on this link using a private browsing/incognito browser window.
  2. If you get the 100K offer immediately, consider yourself lucky.
  3. If you did not, close the window and click the link again.
  4. Repeat step 3 until you get the 100K offer!

I personally got the 100K offer on my second try. The first click led to a 40K point offer. With something like this, I HIGHLY recommend taking screen shots and documenting your application process in case you do need to fight with Amex for the bonus points.

The terms of the deal are this: you receive the 100K points after spending just $3K in 3 months, which is a great deal for that many points. The caveat is that the American Express Platinum card has an annual fee of $450 per year that is not waived. This is slightly offset by $200 in airline credits per year, lounge access around the world, global entry application credit, and many other perks. The Amex Platinum card is one that I keep every year for the benefits despite the annual fee.

Note: if you’ve had the personal Platinum card in the past, you’re technically not eligible for the bonus on another one. Whether or not that gets enforced is another matter, so apply at your own risk. Note that the Business Platinum and the Mercedes Benz Platinum are considered different products than the Personal Platinum.

American Express Business Gold 75K Offer

This offer appears somewhat more regularly, but is less desirable for several reasons. First, it is a Business card that many people are reluctant to get. Second, it’s fewer points than the personal Platinum listed above. And third, it requires a hefty $10K in spending in 3 months to earn the bonus.

Still, for many this might be something worth considering. Again, 75K points is nothing to scoff at considering most card bonuses are in the 50K or lower range. The same method applies for the Business Gold Card application:

  1. Click on this link using a private browsing/incognito browser window.
  2. If you get the 75K offer immediately, consider yourself lucky.
  3. If you did not, close the window and click the link again.
  4. Repeat step 3 until you get the 75K offer!

I received the 50K offer many times before the 75K offer finally loaded. Be patient!

American Express Premier Rewards Gold 50K Offer

Not a screaming deal, but still one that’s twice the normal bonus. You can earn 50K points after just $1K in spend with the revamped Premier Rewards Gold card. Again, the same method applies:

  1. Click on this link using a private browsing/incognito browser window.
  2. If you get the 50K offer immediately, consider yourself lucky.
  3. If you did not, close the window and click the link again.
  4. Repeat step 3 until you get the 50K offer!

From what I understand, this offer is much more easily obtained. I got it on my first try and subsequent tries after that as well.

The Premier Rewards Gold card has recently been updated to include new benefits, and I’m a fan. While the annual fee is $195, which is a considerable amount, it is waived for the first year. You also get a $100 airline credit (similar to the Platinum card) per year, plus the earning structure is strong with 3x on airfare and 2x on gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants. Those are exactly the types of purchases those of us in the points game make, so it makes sense to me to have this card.

Summary

This trio of offers represents a fantastic opportunity to earn points quickly. I would recommend the Platinum card first, then the Premier Rewards Gold, then the Business card, but for those of you that have had one of these products already can easily choose another one. Don’t wait long to apply – these deals typically do not last very long!

Update: These offers have now expired. You may still be able to sign up through one of the other public offers for these cards.

  1. Tried it the Platinum card with incognito, and consistently got 40k points only. Even completely closed the browser and opened it again (in incognito mode).

      1. I had the same issue when using google chrome on my laptop. I tried my phone and same issue and then disconnected from my wifi and tried on my phone and first time the 100k point offer came up.

  2. THANKS! I got the 100k point offer after a few tries. I did notice it said that if you already have an AMEX you may not be eligible. Not just already have had a Platinum, but any AMEX. Hopefully that won’t be the case.

  3. “If we identify you as ***currently having an American Express® Card account***, you may not be eligible for this welcome bonus offer. This offer is also not available to applicants who have or have had a Platinum Card® account enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program.”

    1. This is standard (and strange) text, but if you haven’t had the Platinum card before it should work.

  4. I thought the terminology was a bit weird too, I already had a Delta Gold Amex but figured I’d try for it anyway. Was approved and all the while the 100k offer was showing. I made sure to take screen grabs just in case. I also confirmed with two separate CSRs that I’ll be receiving 100k after $3k spend in the first three months, and saved those conversations. Keeping my fingers crossed the paperwork in the mail says the same thing…

  5. i had a Mercedes Benz Platinum a couple of years back.Anyone knows if it is considered as a different product or no luck?

    1. I routinely get the 150K offer for business platinum. But I don’t have a business that spends anywhere near 20K/3 months (100K for $10K in 3 months, 50K for another $10K in those three months).

  6. I have the Ameriprise version of Platinum card right now, so am I be able to apply and get this 100k offer? Thanks

    1. Ryan, from what i read on flyertalk those 2 cards are treated as 2 separate products and you should be able to get this one

  7. Got 100K on first try, been waiting for this for months and months. If I was only going to have one shot at a personal platinum bonus, I was going to get 100K out of it. Tempted to pick it up for my wife too, but I will wait for another chance a year from now when i cancel this one.

  8. For anyone having issues getting the offer — I got the 40k offer on every try (20+ tries) until I turned off AdBlock. Once I did that, I got it on the first try. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but thought it might be worth a try for others.

    1. I can’t find adblock, but I can’t get the offer, so I’m wondering if that’s my problem. How do I find it to turn it off?

  9. Damn…Applied 19 days ago at 40K bonus for AMEX Plat and can’t get AMEX to match offer. Tried chat and Twitter.

    1. You agreed to 40K, so I’d actually be quite surprised if they were to match the untargeted 100K offer, not that I blame you for trying.
FWIW, I got targeted 100K a few years back and have had the card since, so this doesn’t apply to me, but I tried about 10 times and only got the 40K offer.

  10. Just a warning. The transfer ratio for points to British Airways Avios is going to be reduced come 10/1/15 as reported in many blogs a couple months ago. Will be 20% less so 80,000 Avios for 100,000 points. Sickening considering in the past you could sometimes get 140% of your points in Avios. So if your intention is to only transfer points to Avios (like me) then those 100,000 will be worth a lot less…unless you get your card quick, meet promo spend and pray that Amex posts your points before 10/1/15. Just a heads up.

  11. I applied, got 100k offer at first crack, got instant approval and a telephone representative confirmed the 100k bonus. I’d been waiting and hoping to figure out a way to get the 100k Amex Platinum offer for months – AmEx never targets me for anything. I was initially skeptical of MRs but having been finding great uses for them lately. THANK YOU!!

  12. For Google Chrome Try this. Go into your settings, and clear all of your History. Also on chose “content settings”, under cookies, click the second box, that local data gets erased once browser closes. Close your browser, repopen it. You should be able to get 100,000 offer if it is still loading. Good luck.

    Cheers,

    PedroNY

  13. Telephone representative could not see the 100,000 offer on my account. Claims it takes a day or two to show up, but sounds like a bad sign. Has anyone else had this experience?

    1. I had this for the Amex Gold. They said they couldn’t see it. I waited till I got the card and activated it and asked and they said they saw it. I got the bonus a few days after hitting the spending needed.

  14. Used Chrome in incognito mode and voila, 100K offer shown, approved, and confirmed by rep. Receiving the card tomorrow (24 hours!) in time for a weekend trip back home to San Francisco for a friends wedding, where I will most def be checking out the centurion lounge!

  15. It must be me… I used Chrome incognito, Safari private browsing, turned off ad blocker and cleared all my history… still no luck :(( Ideas anyone?

  16. Damn. I wish I would have seen this blog a few days ago. I’ve been waiting for the 100k offer for months!!! 🙁

  17. Hello – For some reason, the AMEX PRG link is showing me a 50k offer. I stumbled upon this webpage because I was looking for the most recent sign up bonus for the PRG and was pretty bummed when I saw this post was a couple months old. So naturally I just clicked on the links, in incognito mood on Safari, just to see what they would show and I am taken to a 50k sign up offer for the PRG. Can anyone else confirm they are seeing the same? Im going to call AMEX tomorrow and see if they see anything on their end as to why the webpage is showing this.

      1. Hello – I was just confused because it said the links were expired – Im happy to see a 50K offer for when I click the PRG Personal Card, but wanted to know if other people were seeing this or could explain why its visible since there are no other public offers being showed by AMEX or other blogges. Thanks

        1. I don’t know why others aren’t promoting these links. These aren’t affiliate links, so maybe that’s why. Travel Summary just found them and shared them to be helpful. I believe it was only the 100K deal for the Platinum Card that expired.

I added a link to the CardMatch tool at the top of the post — that IS an affiliate link, and it has a 50K offer available for some people. You may be able to use that and get the same offer while supporting the blog. Up to you.

          1. Sounds good – yes the 100k Platinum offer is gone – Thanks again for the help/responses.
