Earn Double Hyatt Points at MGM Resorts in Las Vegas

Last updated November 4, 2018

Through December 29, 2018, you can stay at various MGM Resorts properties in Las Vegas and earn twice the normal World of Hyatt rewards points. Just register before your stay.

Remember that you can always include your World of Hyatt membership number in your MGM booking (or provide it at checkout) to get 5 Hyatt points per dollar. Any room charges will also earn Hyatt points. This promotion bumps that figure up to 10 points per dollar. If you value Hyatt points at around 1.2-1.5 cents per point, this translates to a 12-15% rebate on your stay.

The following MGM properties are eligible for the partnership with World of Hyatt:

  • Bellagio Las Vegas
  • ARIA Resort and Casino
  • Vdara Hotel and Spa
  • MGM Grand Hotel and Casino
  • Signature at MGM Grand
  • Mandalay Bay
  • Delano Las Vegas
  • Mirage Hotel and Casino
  • Park MGM
  • New York New York Hotel and Casino
  • Luxor Hotel and Casino
  • Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Any bookings made through MGM’s website are also eligible to earn M life rewards points toward status that can include discounted or free parking and even comps on future hotel stays. For example, I have access to some discounted M life member-only rates online, and I just got an offer in the mail for two free nights at Aria. You can get discounts (not always as good) even if you don’t have status–but if you have status with World of Hyatt you may be able to match that status to M life for free!

Does it have something to do with the visit I made this summer and the money I gambled on video poker? Probably. But still it shows that there’s always a good reason to keep earning points when you’re in Vegas. It’s even better to double up and earn with two loyalty programs at the same time! My summer stay earned me a few thousand points as well as two elite qualifying nights toward status. Be sure to check out Omar’s post for more tips on earning Las Vegas comps.
