Another Flight Tracker App Goes Away: MyFlights Discontinued

by Brad
Last updated December 6, 2017

As a frequent traveler, I happily used Flight Track Pro for years. I love the simplicity, TripIt integration, and easy tracking of flight delays, gate information, etc. It has already been nine months or so since Flight Track Pro stopped working. Despite some decent options, I’m still investigating a good replacement. I currently use a combination of Trip Case, and primarily MyFlights.  Unfortunately, MyFlights is now going away:

Sigh. MyFlights is done at the end of 2017.

Like Flight Track Pro, MyFlights is an easy repository of much of my travel info, all in one place. As my travel has mostly finished for the year,  I’m going to miss it.

Alternatives: Trip Case, Concur, Tripit

I still use Trip Case on occasion, but I don’t consider it primary, and don’t use it for each trip. Business trips makes up the most of my travels, and I book through Concur. My fellow business travelers likely have a good understanding of the joy (sarcasm alert) of using Concur. That said, I find the mobile app is decent for tracking trip information.

As for TripIt, I don’t use it directly, but often as an intermediary when using Flight Track Pro and MyFlights.  Going forward, I’m not sure if I will bother.

Now What?

So I’m back to the drawing board. I downloaded App in the Air, and maybe I’ll spend more time exploring this. I’m open to suggestions, and certainly curious what others are using.

Based on comments from my previous posts, I’m interested in trying out Flight Update Pro as well. Anyone with experience using that app?
