Through June 30, 2017, you can earn 1,000 bonus Delta SkyMiles for each time you interact with a new SkyMiles partner. This means every time you interact with a partner like using a Delta credit card, staying at a partner hotel, or shopping through an online portal. If you haven’t used one of these partners before, try it now and get 1,000 miles! Try several and get several thousand miles!
Important: You can still earn bonus SkyMiles if you’ve used a partner before, as long as that previous partner activity was over a year ago. Specifically, “new” partner activity means you didn’t earn miles through that particular method between March 24, 2016, and March 23, 2017. If it was before March 24, 2016, you can try it again now and still get 1,000 bonus miles.
Delta doesn’t have the most valuable airline miles, but I still think they’re worth about 1.0-1.5 cents each. That means you’re getting about $10-15 in value each time you try a new partner!
A complete list of all SkyMiles partners is available on Delta’s website. Eligible partners include: Credit Card Partners, Hotels, Car Rental, Limo & Shuttle, Cruises and Vacations, Dining, Retail and Specialty, Financial Partners, SkyMiles Shopping and SkyMiles Dining. That means if you have a Delta credit card from American Express and haven’t used it in a while (or apply for a new one), you can get 1,000 bonus miles. If you stay at three different participating hotels and credit the stays to Delta, you can get 3,000 bonus miles. Even transferring SPG Starpoints or renting a car can earn you miles.
Other partners, such as flying on a partner airline or banking with Citibank Asia, are excluded from the offer.
You must register for this offer before you engage in participating activity to earn bonus SkyMiles. You can do that on the promotional webpage, and also learn more about the specific terms and conditions.
