It doesn’t have the same selection as your usual online travel agent, but the deals it negotiates with individual properties make it easier to secure big bonuses. Normally Rocketmiles has promotions for 3,000 miles if you sign up with one of its airline partners. They’ll also run promotions every couple of weeks. For the holidays, however, they’re offering 1,000 miles per night up to a maximum of 5,000 miles on a 5+ night stay. Rocketmiles is not a good choice for people who want to earn hotel loyalty points or elite status. Most loyalty programs exclude third-party reservations from their programs, although they may still honor other benefits (upgrades, breakfast, etc.) if you already have status. However, if you stay infrequently or if you aren’t loyalty to any particular brand then Rocketmiles can be a good way to boost the balance of your frequent flyer account and take you one step closer to a free flight.
