I’m Passionate about Writing on Aviation and Travel
I am also new to Travel Codex and Boarding Area, as part of the team of nine writers acquired from Upgrd.com this week.
My writing passion stems from an innate desire to empower readers with knowledge and tools on the airline industry. Simply put, I love helping and coaching people. I’m an ESFP on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), as well as a Yoga instructor. Airlines are incredibly complex and ever-evolving entities. I try to maintain an expressive, yet tactical approach in breaking down my thoughts, ideas and feelings on aviation as I communicate them to readers.
I have a strength for digging in, answering the who/what/when/why and unearthing it for the global aviation community. But, one area of growth opportunity for me is learning about and using new technologies. I enjoy systems analysis and design. My goal is to use Travel Codex as a means to bring more awareness to travel tools that are out there for us to play with.
In the end, it’s all about cultivating the passion that we communally share for commercial air transport, from the habits we remember possessing dating back to our youth when we’d collect amenity kits or stare at an airplane jetting off into the sky for a few seconds longer while on the playground.
Being a #PointsJunkie and an #AvGeek is accessible to anyone. I have so much left to learn, uncover, discover and share with others. Flying never gets old. It rarely ceases to be fun. It can also be a labor of love. But it also unites us in ways that take on unprecedented forms.
Thanks to this hobby, I’ve met some of the most incredible people in the world (you know who you are), and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Therefore, I’m thrilled to take on the next level of adventure by joining the Travel Codex team, as bittersweet as it is to close the chapter on Upgrd.com.
