IHG offers an Accelerate promotion from time to time that is tailored to each IHG Rewards member. Sometimes these promotions are incredibly valuable, while other times they aren’t.
You can now register for IHG’s Accelerate promotion valid for stays from September 1 through December 31, 2017.
Your promotion will most likely be different than mine, but lets take a quick look to see what kinds of offers might show up.

I also have two additional bonuses offered:
- Big Apple Bonus – Stay 2 or more nights at participating hotels in NYC, earn 3,000 bonus points
- September Bonus Offer – Stay once in September, earn 3,000 Bonus points.
The first set of requirements is where most of the points will come from, and I can actually earn a good chunk of the points with only three one-night stays:
- One night at a Holiday Inn Express paid with IHG credit card (completes offer 1 and 5)
- Second night at Holiday Inn Express (completes offer 3)
- Points and cash stay at any IHG hotel (completes offer 4 and 6)
From these three stays I would earn 30,000 bonus IHG points! If one night was in September that would mean an additional 3,000 points.
Since I’ll be traveling quite a bit through the end of the year, I’m sure I’ll earn a good chunk of the points from this promotion.
