Frequent Traveler University is heading to the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach this December 4-6. I won’t be attending, but other Travel Codex writers including Omar (Travel Summary) and Tahsir (Bengali Miles Guru) will be there to share their tips on Manufactured Spend. You can also learn about award booking tips for American, United, and other airlines; how to maximize hotel loyalty programs; and “advanced booking techniques” for revenue fares — whatever those are. 😉
As an FTU Advanced, this event is geared toward those who have attended FTU in the past or who are already reasonably experienced in the world of miles and points. I don’t recommend it if you need help booking your first award. However, it can be invaluable to meet some of the speakers in person — as well as the other attendees — to share information and get a little extra help with some advanced strategies.
The full list of speakers includes:
- Matthew Klint (Live and Let’s Fly)
- Stefan Krasowski (Rapid Travel Chai)
- Tahsir Ahsan (Bengali Miles Guru)
- Greg Davis-Kean (Frequent Miler)
- Omar Zaman (Travel Summary)
- Jamie Larounis (The Forward Cabin)
- Melinda Danielsen (Magic of Miles)
- Tiffany Funk (One Mile at a Time)
Tickets are $249 for the weekend with a welcome cocktail reception and full lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Those who need a place to stay can book a group rate at the Hyatt for $179 per night that includes buffet breakfast, free parking, and a reduced resort fee of $10 per night.
