Lindblad Expeditions is Rebranding

by Rocky Horan
Last updated September 27, 2024

Lindblad expedition is by far the world leader in expeditions to the polar regions and remote places on this planet. As the first company to take tourist to Antarctica and to the Galapagos, Lindblad was born in Expedition. Their focus has always been expedition and connecting people to cultures and nature. People pay more to travel with Lindblad because of the experience they have and because of the unique experiences Lindblad offers. Now Lindblad is officially changing their name to closer align with their biggest partner, National Geographic.

It has been over 20 years since Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic joined forces to provide immersive travel experiences in remote and wild places for adventurous travelers like your clients. Last year, our two organizations decided to extend and deepen our relationship through 2040. To mark this new chapter, we are excited to unveil a new look, complete with a new logo and name: National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions. As of today, the new co-brand will begin appearing across our owned and partner channels, and in the coming months it will be implemented across the fleet.
These changes reflect the close collaboration between our two organizations as well as the legacy of National Geographic, with its long commitment to exploring, illuminating, and protecting the wonders of our world. National Geographic inspires the expedition experience that Lindblad has developed and refined over five decades of pioneering voyages. Today, each voyage still sails in the service of the original mission: to forge more meaningful connections between people and the planet.
Anyone who has traveled with Lindblad is very familiar with the National Geographic partnership. On every sailing a Nat Geo photography join guests and several speakers and expedition leaders and guides have worked directly as National Geographic employees. Jumping between the sister brands. Now, the brands form a deeper bond, placing the National Geographic name first. Previously is was Lindblad Expeditions and only the ships had National Geographic names. Now the entire company will be part of Nat Geo.

I’ve been on several Lindblad and National Geographic expeditions and they are my favorite brand. With small ships ranging from 20-150 people to expert guides, there is NOTHING like a National Geographic-Lindblad Expedition. I have also booked hundred of guests around the world trips with Lindblad. If you’re looking for your own expedition to the Amazon, Galapagos, Antarctica, Svalbard, Greenland or elsewhere, contact me to book. I often have unique saving which I can pass on as a preferred Travel Advisor working with Scott & Thomas Travel.
