As Delta and United has moved to lousy revenue based program similar to low cost carriers like Jet Blue, Virgin America, and Southwest; Virgin America is calling for travelers to break free of their 1986 style airlines and move on up to Virgin America. Launching the Loyalty Made Me Do It companion, the airline launched a micro-site where visitors can check out hilarious videos depicting the dismal relationship many travelers face with their current frequent flyer program which cover issues around the typically frustrating domestic airline service experience and loyalty rewards process. Such as miles costing an arm and a leg, upgrade opportunities which are more of a joke than a reality, and old boring planes without wifi, inflight entertainment, and amenities. The microsite boasts about Virgin’s young fleet and how every seat feels like first class due to their amenities such as in seat power, wifi, IFE, on demand service and smooth black leather seats.
