My name is Sriram, and I’m thrilled to be the newest member of the UPGRD blogging team.
I’ve been travel blogging for a little over a year, and some of you may be familiar with my former site, meanmeosh.blogspot.com. If you’ve been linked over from the old site, not to worry, all of my old posts have been migrated over here, and my content won’t really be changing. I was in the middle of a series of trip reports about my cruise to South America in late 2012, and will be finishing up that series over the next couple of weeks. Following soon after will be a series of reports about our road trip from Dallas to Boston, followed by a cruise to Bermuda (the first piece of that series, a review of the Frog and Onion Pub, was posted on the old site last weekend). I have historically posted on a once-a-week, Saturday schedule, with one or two posts at a time; I’ll probably stick to that at first, though depending on demand and readership (and my day job schedule), might increase frequency at a later date. I may occasionally put up an “unscheduled” post to address breaking news, such as major travel sales or travel industry happenings here in the Metroplex, such as Virgin America’s Love Field expansion.
I hope you enjoy my posts, and I’m looking forward to being part of the team. I’d also like to give a special shout-out to fellow UPGRDr Rohan for reaching out to me and making this happen. Thanks Rohan! And thanks to Mike for migrating all of my old content over!
Look for my first official UPGRD post tomorrow. But in the meantime, enjoy a photo from one of my crazy roadtrips. Getting up to Utah’s Delicate Arch required a 1 1/2 mile hike uphill in 105 degree heat, but the view reminded me why driving 5,000 miles across the country and back is still may favorite way to travel.
