While in Dubai this past week, one of our final activities was to do some indoor skiing at Ski Dubai! Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort on the Arabian Peninsula in Dubai. Calling it a “resort” might be a bit of a stretch as it’s mostly just a relatively small, single beginner ski run. However, at 200 dirhams (about $60) for 2 hours, including skiwear / equipment rentals, it is a fun gimmick to do while in Dubai. I made a video of the adventure, which you can find below.
Ski Dubai is part of one of the world’s largest shopping malls, Mall of the Emirates. Of course, this is not Dubai’s largest mall. That title would belong to the Dubai Mall, which is the world’s largest mall and home to the Burj Khalifa.
I think the video speaks for itself, but if you’re looking to play around for a little in Dubai, this is a great way to spend a couple hours. Also, if you live in Dubai, this is a fantastic place to learn how to ski before heading to a vacation in some real mountains!
