For Alaska Airlines loyalists, this has been one of the most anticipated additions to the new Atmos Rewards platform. Philippine Airlines award flights are now bookable online through Alaska’s award search engine, opening up a valuable new way to redeem points across the Pacific.
I spotted award space loaded between Seattle and Manila, with economy awards pricing at just 37,500 Atmos points, while business class awards are available from 75,000 points.
For travelers heading to the Philippines, Southeast Asia, or even making connections deeper into the region, this is a significant development.
A Valuable New Redemption Option
As shown in the screenshot below, Alaska is displaying nonstop Philippine Airlines flights between Seattle (SEA) and Manila (MNL) with live award availability and instant online booking.

The pricing is especially noteworthy considering the flight covers nearly 7,000 miles and operates as one of the few nonstop options between the Pacific Northwest and the Philippines.
For Flyers in Seattle and Vancouver, this opens an attractive redemption opportunity without needing to connect through San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Seoul, or Taipei.
A Slow Partnership Rollout
Philippine Airlines has been one of Alaska’s airline partners since launching service to Seattle in 2024. Yet through the merger with Hawaiian Airlines the partnership has been a bit cold. In 2024 Alaska said awards were coming. It took nearly 2 years for it to actually happen. And after the merger with Hawaiian the partnership looked to be on the fritz. Alaska cut earning on Philippine Airline flights with the exception of flights booked via Alaska’s own booking channels. Often 2-3x more expensive than booking directly with Philippine Airlines
The appearance of Philippine Airlines awards confirms another meaningful piece of the partner network. With Philippine Airlines joining Oneworld soon, it appears to be bringing Alaska, Hawaiian and Philippine Airlines closer together again. More importantly, it enhances Alaska’s already strong Asia redemption portfolio and partnerships.

The headline redemption may actually be business class. Starting at just 75,000 points one-way, travelers get access to Philippine Airlines’ long-haul business class product on flights to Manila for less than many competing programs charge to Asia. Making this a great value.
Cash fares on this route can frequently exceed several thousand dollars roundtrip, creating the potential for substantial value from Atmos points.
Availability will vary, of course, but seeing partner premium-cabin inventory displaying properly is encouraging for anyone sitting on a large Alaska balance. Just watch out on what plane you select. As the A350 has a much better cabin and layout than the 777-300 which is 7 across with a middle seat.
Do note that there is a bug that after booking business class is showing Coach A, but A class is actually business and if you log in to your booking on Philippine Airlines’ website you’ll be able to select business class seats etc.
