Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “As Qatar Airways continues its global expansion, we are delighted to be offering even more gateways in the United States, connecting passengers from destinations across the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, Africa and Southeast Asia.

“We look forward to offering a great travel experience to our US passengers on the World’s Best Business Class across our network of more than 140 destinations, with a convenient one-stop transfer at the new state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport in Doha.”

The new routes announcement is huge news to all flyers connecting to the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia as more one-stop connections will be available. I flew Qatar Airways back from Egypt just a few weeks ago and I had a fantastic flight experience, but as I was connecting to the West Coast I had to make several stops. These new routes, especially the new route to Los Angeles, will open a slew of new routes and connection options and will be particularly useful for OneWorld flyers and American Airline Advantage members who can earn and redeem miles on Qatar Airways flights!
