Review: Delta Sky Club Fort Lauderdale (FLL)

by Rocky Horan
Last updated April 24, 2023

Delta Air Lines offers one of the few lounges at Fort Lauderdale International airport. As not all terminals are connected in Fort Lauderdale, Delta Air Lines offers the only lounge in terminal 2. The Fort Lauderdale Delta Sky Club offers a great escape from the somewhat busy terminal. Thankfully, terminal 2 is fairly small, serving just Delta Air lines, Frontier, and Air Canada. Meaning the small terminal never gets too busy. Unlike terminal 3 & 4, home to JetBlue and Spirit. The lounge is easy to access from the center of the terminal building, with it’s reception on the main floor and stairs and an elevator up to the lounge.

Once up stairs the lounge is very modern. As one of the newest clubs in the system, the new Delta Sky Club opened in June 2021. Upstairs boasts plenty of different seating options across the lounge. There are options for both solo travelers and those traveling together.

One on side of the lounge is a dinning area with plenty of tables for party of twos. These are are closest to the self-serve non alcoholic beverage stations.

Eat and Drink

The center of lounge boasts an open concept. There is lots of seating with an elongated “T” shape bench which divides the room. On one side is the buffet and the other side the bar.

If you are looking for a healthy snack or a full on meal, Delta Sky Club has you covered. While visiting it was breakfast time. The Fort Lauderdale Sky Club offers a variety of hot and cold items. Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bakery items, bacon, yogurts and more. No one will go hungry here. Everything is self-serve.

There is a fully staffed bar with complimentary drinks. You can upgrade your choice of alcohol with Skymiles or dollars. Thankfully even Delta’s house spirits are name brand. For example, their vodka is Finlandia.

One side of the club boasts terminal and runway views. This morning the terminal below was not very busy, the Sky Club though was popping.

I loved this electronic billboard. A reminder TOO many people need while traveling.

Shortly after 9am, the club became slightly more empty. The morning bank of departures to NYC and Atlanta left space to breath and work in the space. It was great to walk through the club with a little more space. I also notice that Delta was smart and added plugs at nearly every seat.

Bottom Line

The Delta FLL Sky Club offers good food, good booze, good non-acholic drinks, and a space to relax in class before any Delta flight. I was able to access the Delta Sky Club using my American Express Platinum card while fly Delta Air Lines. This is just one of many perks available and helps makes up for the sky high fees. Regardless, the Delta Sky Club offers an elevated lounge experience and a good place to relax after taking part in the many Fort Lauderdale attractions. The food and drink offering is among the best in the United States for airline clubs. Furthermore, the modern feel of the lounge helps makes Delta feel like a younger, modern, fun airline. If you’re passing through FLL don’t miss the Delta Sky Club.
