Ritz-Carlton is launching their own luxury cruise line in 2019 called the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
There will be three custom built yachts, each having 149 suites with their own balcony, a spa, restaurant, and bar with on-board entertainment. The capacity of each yacht will be 298 passengers – significantly smaller than most cruise ships!
Cruise itineraries are expected to range from 7 to 10 days onboard and will visit ports of call that large cruise ships can’t visit in addition to more traditional ports of call in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and Northern Europe. A few ports of call that were mentioned in the press release include Cartagena, Colombia; Capri, Italy; Portofino, Italy; and St. Barth’s in the Caribbean.
Reservations for the first sailing are expected to open in May 2018. Pricing details have not yet been released and it is currently unknown whether points redemptions will be an option.
