The new Park Hyatt Bangkok opened this month, although I’ve seen the sinuous, reflective structure rising above the skyline during my visits to the nearby Grand Hyatt over a couple of years. The opening date has been significantly delayed, but Matthew at Live and Let’s Fly managed to be one of the first people to stay at the hotel and already has a review published.
For stays booked by August 31 and for travel through October 31, 2017, the hotel is offering a special discount of 20% off standard rates and an additional 3,000 bonus points. You must stay two nights or more and use the offer code PROM2 to qualify.
It might be possible to get a similar discount using some other discounts. However, the 3,000 bonus points could tip the scale back in favor of this promotion. The long offer period should at least keep this offer in mind if you plan to visit Bangkok — check it against any other rates you were considering.
I’m not thrilled with the Central Embassy location. It’s a little further from the bustle near the Erawan Shrine, and probably too far to walk to the night markets. But if you’re staying at a Park Hyatt maybe you’re the kind of customer who already plans to rely on taxis.
In any case, the hotel looks stunning and I hope to have a chance to stay sometime in the near future, even if I can’t do that while the promotion is in effect.
