Seabourn Antarctica Expedition $8,999 Deal Returns

by Rocky Horan
Last updated July 29, 2025

Luxury expedition cruising to Antarctica just became more accessible again at a price point that more people can afford. The highly sought-after Seabourn $8999 Antarctica deal has returned for limited 2025 & 2026 departures, offering up to 20% off public pricing—and in some cases, nearly 40% off what these voyages were selling for just a few weeks ago. I haven’t seen prices this low since the 2024 season and that was for only 1 sailing. This is a rare opportunity to experience one of the world’s most remote and awe-inspiring destinations aboard the ultra-luxury Seabourn Venture and Pursuit, without paying full fare.

Why November is great for Antarctica?

November marks the beginning of Antarctica’s cruise season with some ships starting even earlier in late October. November is a time of pristine landscapes, dramatic ice formations, and fewer ships in the region. Wildlife is active, with penguins mating and nesting and whales beginning to arrive. Plus, early-season voyages often offer more adventurous landings and better photographic conditions. Plus lots of nearly born seal pups too! It’s a great time to visit Antarctica and be among the first to put your feet in the snow.

November is also a great time for Ice landings. As it’s earlier in the season ships can often wedge themself into the frozen sea ice and let passengers walk on the ice. Something you can’t do later in the season. If you want to walk on water, this is the trip for you!

Why March is a good time In Antarctica?

March is the end of the Antarctica season and with that comes better values. By March, the number of ships in the region begins to decline, meaning fewer tourists and a more intimate experience at landing sites. Although all sites have a maximum of 100 guests, with fewer ships, it means the ships still there have more sites to choose from. It’s also the end of the summer and winter is kicking back in. As temperatures begin to drop again, sea ice starts to reform, creating surreal and ever-changing ice patterns. This is a great time to witness the transition from summer to winter in the polar environment. Something most people do not get to witness.

Wild life viewing is still great, especially during the first week or two. The Penguin chicks are now grown and active, often seen learning to swim. They are playful and curious. It’s also peak Whales season. See the whales when they are at their most abundant, especially humpbacks, as they feed heavily before migrating north. It’s common to see them up close and personal in March. Plus Seals are more visible on ice floes and beaches, often basking in the late-season sun or looking for one more snack before the season ends.
