Try the New Travel Codex Award Booking Service

by Scott Mackenzie
Last updated September 2, 2019

Here at Travel Codex, I have a strong belief in teaching people to help themselves. Even the blog is maintained in-house; I would rather learn how to make changes to code and update tools myself than outsource it to someone else.

The Award Maximizer tool that I created to compare award charts across 16 different airline loyalty programs is actually meant to be much more than that. It links to dozens of resources with information on how to find and book those awards, with the idea that the tool presents the right information in the right place, making the guide you need easier to find.

But I recognize that not everyone has the interest or time to book their own awards. That’s why Travel Codex now offers a full service award booking team. You can submit information about the miles you have and the destination you want to visit. They’ll find the award space using their expert knowledge — since many airlines don’t make it easy to search online — and book the trip for you.

I don’t personally do the searches myself. I don’t have the time. But I think I found a partner who has the same standards of excellence that I try to maintain. Perhaps higher.

ServiceFee
North America (includes all 50 US states, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean)$50
International & Multi-City$100
Round-the-World$150
Infants (all award types)$50
Change Requests$25
After Hours Surcharge (between 8 PM and 9 AM Eastern Time)$50

I also made a point of keeping the service affordable and the pricing simple. We all work too hard to acquire our miles. No one wants to drown in fees when it’s finally time to redeem them for a hard-earned vacation. And if you have a good experience, that just means you’ll come back for more tips and tricks to replenish that stash.

If you try it out, I’d love to hear your feedback!
