United social media still sucks. That’s right I have said it, of all the major US Airlines the Social Media team at United clearly do not know what they are doing or how twitter works. Yet the one thing they are really good at is putting their foot in their mouth. Yesterday when United tweeted a message about economy plus and how it’s flyer friendly I decided I just had to respond, because as we all know airline pitch has been decreased and very few airlines are actually flyer friendly these days.
My response:
I honestly wasn’t expecting to get a response but when they did, I was shocked. Did the agent not realized that I was dogging them, or was she just trying to be optimistic? Either way, their response was way out in left field….
“Nice” Seriously? Are you admitting that you’re not flyer friendly any more or that PMCO days were better? “Still need help” – I never asked for any. Oh well, I guess not everyone’s banter can be good as the AA twitter team
