American Airlines is offering a very lucrative sweepstakes to encourage AAdvantage members to sign up for its email offers. Ordinarily I would not bother, but the grand prize is 500,000 miles and a free cruise. Five runner-up prizes are for 100,000 miles each.
I figure the promotional emails are going to go to my spam folder anyway, so it’s not a big annoyance for me. I wasn’t asked for my address or phone number, either.
At just 30 seconds of work to register, that’s pretty easy. You definitely can’t win if you don’t enter — I won 10,000 Hyatt points from a Facebook contest earlier this year.
