We had 1,891 entries for the World of Hyatt giveaway, with people hoping to win a year of Globalist status that includes perks such as complimentary lounge access, suite upgrades on arrival, and more points for every dollar spent.
I’m pleased to announce Josh as the winner! We’ve already been in touch, and he’s very excited. Already he has plans to book trips to three of my favorite cities:
I’ve had platinum status for the last couple years via my Chase Hyatt card (which I believe has converted to Discoverist) but never top tier status in any hotel program. I will absolutely take advantage of this through multiple trips — I’ve been planning to book trips in the coming year to San Francisco, London, and Tokyo at least.
Everyone who entered the giveaway joined the Travel Codex email newsletter. You can also follow along with Twitter, Facebook, RSS, and Apple News.
Obviously there are 1,890 people who didn’t win. You can still read my review of the new World of Hyatt program and see what to expect if you’re more familiar with the older Gold Passport program that it replaces. I’ll be an Explorist member in 2017, I’ve already redeemed one of my club room upgrades at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki for an upcoming stay. Hopefully I’ll be spending my time at the beach and don’t need a full suite, so this is just right.
