WOW Adds Four New U.S. Routes for 2018

by Caroline Lupini
Last updated December 11, 2017

WOW Air has made travel to Iceland and beyond incredibly inexpensive from a number of U.S. cities already. Now, they’re expanding to four more!

WOW will begin operating the following to the following airports:

  • CVG (Cincinnati, OH) – Beginning May 10, 2018, four flights weekly
  • CLE (Cleveland, OH) – Beginning May 4, 2018, four flights weekly
  • DTW (Detroit, MI) – Beginning April 26, 2018, four flights weekly
  • STL (St. Louis, MO) – Beginning May 17, 2018, four flights weekly

Introductory fares between Reykjavik, Iceland’s capitol, and these cities start at just $99 one-way. You can connect onward to European destinations for only $149.

Keep in mind that since WOW is a low cost carrier, you will pay extra for everything including checked and carry on bags, food and drink onboard your flight, and seat selections.

I’m pretty excited about the new route to Detroit specifically since that’s my original home airport and the closest airport to my parent’s home. That means it will be easy for me to get home from Europe to visit them and offer them inexpensive flights to Europe! Even though everything costs extra with WOW, it’s an incredible deal if you don’t mind flying in economy.
