Alaska Airlines has received their first Boeing 737 MAX9 aircraft and they will begin revenue service on March 1, 2021.  Here is where the inaugural flights will fly and their schedules.

$119.00 for paid first class on an inaugural flight is amazing.  At the time of this writing, there are five first class seats available.

Final Thoughts

As an avgeek, I have been following the 737MAX for years.  I can say that the 737MAX has been the most scrutinized aircraft to receive regulatory approval for airworthiness.  The issues with the MCAS system have been resolved and pilots now have received training and type-certification for the 737MAX.

The MAX jets will allow Alaska Airlines to substantially reduce fuel consumption and their carbon footprint.

About Steve Case

Steve is a life-long avgeek and a points and miles player. The photo is from my first premium, international award flight in 2012. That is all it took, I was hooked. I used my airline mile and hotel points to travel well and cheap. I am truly an "out-of-the-box" traveler which has enriched my travel experiences.
