Lifemiles is offering a bonus when converting American Express Membership Rewards points. Receive 15% more points when transferring AMEX Membership Rewards to Lifemiles through May 2022. The limited time bonus offer allows customers to travel on award tickets for fewer miles. From May 1 until May 31, 2022 enjoy 15% more points when transferring from your Amex account to Lifemiles.
To take part in this limited time bonus, transfer points directly from American Express to Lifemiles. American Express Membership reward’s page automatically calculates the 15% bonus into the transfer.
Why Transfer to Lifemiles
If you are looking to travel, you can use Lifemiles to book awards on all 26 Star Alliance partners. You don’t even have to fly Avianca to use the Lifemiles frequent flyer program. Lifemiles offers great award options without fuel surcharges.

Before transferring miles (or buying miles), it is advised to check for award availability. Visit the lifemiles’ website and search for availability. You do not need miles in your Lifemiles member account to utilize Lifemile’s award search. Also note, that Lifemiles award availability will be different then United’s or Air Canada. Like all programs, different airlines have access to different space. It’s always advise to search for award space first and transfer second.
Sometimes, Lifemiles even offers promo awards. These promotions are usually for economy class awards but can be found in business class as well. These historical promos are even on partner airlines. When Lifemiles does offer promo awards you will find them listed as “economy on sale” or “business on sale”. These are among the lowest rates for award tickets. Within this calendar year, the LifeMiles program has offered transferred bonuses through Capital One Venture card products, as well as Citi. This is the first transfer of the year from American Express. Many business owners use AMEX products to pay for business expenses like spending at gas stations, hotel chains, or on airfare. As such, this allows American Express cardholders to earn LifeMiles and redeem LifeMiles at an accelerated rate due to bonuses they incur through those AMEX cards.
