The Holidays Are Back at Starbucks (and with Priority Boarding!)

by Scott Mackenzie
Last updated November 6, 2019

Starbucks is releasing its newest suite of holiday red cups today, which you can enjoy when you order one of their seasonal beverages like the Eggnog Latte or Caramel Brulee Latte.

I’m a pretty simple guy when it comes to Starbucks — and living in Seattle for 11 years, I drank a lot of Starbucks. My typical order is a tall dark roast, or a tall unsweetened iced coffee if it gets really hot (think 75°).

But I’ll diverge from habit to get a tasty Peppermint Mocha (just two pumps, mind you). I’ve even bought the peppermint syrup in bulk to use for my own coffee at home, and the Christmas Blend isn’t bad, either. There are also seasonal food items like a Turkey & Stuffing Panini, Gingerbread Loaf, and a Sugar Plum Danish.

If you want to experience the holidays year round, Starbucks is going to be giving away — for FREE — a limited-edition and reusable red cup when you order one of their specialty holiday beverages. This is only available today (November 7) while supplies last. You get a discount each time you use the cup again. Save 50 cents off every grande (16 oz) holiday beverage between now and January 7, 2020.

Finally, Starbucks is teaming up with fellow Seattle-based company Alaska Airlines to surprise customers this weekend, starting today through November 10. Travelers on select flights might find themselves boarding a holiday-themed aircraft with surprise Starbucks treats at their seats!

Try to get a hold of one of these holiday cups if you can. Customers with any Starbucks holiday cup, both paper and reusable, will be able to board early on Alaska Airlines during this time.
