My 36 hour Virgin experience started with Virgin America first class. A mile high ride with America’s sexiest airline from San Francisco to Chicago. The 1800+ mile Virgin America First Class ride was scheduled for 4 hours. Although originally booked in economy, I paid for an upgrade to first class for the best experience. I was certain I was going to enjoy the entire flight in the roomiest seat with America’s #1 Airline.
The flight experience was by far the best domestic inflight experience I’ve enjoyed in years, and a mile high experience like no other! Even legacy carrier’s transcontinental service holds nothing on this Virgin! Although the Virgin America First Class seat may only be a recliner verses lay flat, the experience of a Virgin is second to none, and no matter the route, Virgin always offer the same amazing hard product! After all, I would expect nothing less from Virgin! As this Virgin can’t her product base on routes!
Immediately upon entering the tube, the swanky mood lights sets the ambiance and the purple and blue lights reflect perfectly off the white leather recliners with black and red accents. The in-seat massage function keeps the body relaxed, reminding oneself that not every Virgin experience has to be a tense one! To further distract one’s mind each seat features a personal television, headphones, usb and universal power ports to keep every toy fully charged and ready for use. If you need further distraction, not to worry, as Virgin’s planes are equipped with GoGo’s internet! Virgin America First Class is ready to distract your mind and body no matter how short or long the ride!
Service was immaculate from the minute I stepped onto the jet. After boarding the young chic female flight attendant served drinks of one’s liking and immediately after liftoff and the seatbelt sign turned off, somewhere around 20,000 feet, menus were distributed and a moist hot towel service was provided. I cleaned my hands and face and prepped myself for Virgin’s feast and libations!
The attentive service continued before, during, and after meal time. At meal time, the succulent eggs and fresh fruit excited my wits and were washed down with a juicy cocktail. As I slurped and munched I could barely keep everything in my mouth. The rocking of the airplane caused me to miss my target and thus left a stain on my dress shirt! Not to worry though, the observant attendant noticed my mess! She offered club soda and extra napkins so I could wet myself and clean up the mess I created! Excitement or Turbulence, probably both!
After meal time the personalized service did not end. The attentive attendant offered nibbles and thirst-quenchers at regular intervals. She always ensured that every passenger in the forward cabin was satisfied. Not once was a glass left empty or a guest ignored. Call lights not necessary, as cabin service was attentive but not overbearing.
The entire Virgin experience was top notch and I now understand why Virgin America is America’s highest awarded and beloved airline! Despite the racy name and double innuendos made, everything about my Virgin experience was fresh, clean, and functioned better than a well-oiled machine (*cough* America, United, or Delta)! This Virgin holds a legacy of its own and is one airline who knows what they are doing! The airline ensures the best inflight experience while cruising miles high. Virgin America First Class is a flight experience that is not to be missed. Say goodbye to the other guys and get on board with the young chic Virgin; after all only Virgin can offer a once in a lifetime ride!
