Buy 2, Get 1 Free with Alaska Airlines this Ski Season

Alaska Airlines ski promotion

Alright, not quite free, but Alaska Airlines did just announce a promotion this winter whereby you can book two round-trip flights and get a third round-trip flight for the cost of tax only, about $29 for most itineraries. This offer is only available to residents of Washington, Oregon, and California. All travel must be completed by February 23, and itineraries must include non-stop service from WA/OR/CA to the following airports:

  • BZN (Bozeman, Montana)
  • SLC (Salt Lake City, Utah)
  • YLW (Kelowna, British Columbia)
  • RNO (Reno, Nevada)
  • MMH (Mammoth, California)
  • HDN (Steamboat Springs, Colorado)
  • FCA (Glacier Park, Montana)
  • SUN (Sun Valley, Idaho)
  • RDM (Redmond, Oregon)

I think this is a great deal, even if you don’t plan on going skiing but just happen to be flying to these places. I know that Megan and I already plan to go to Park City in January, flying into SLC. It’s also fairly convenient to fly to Reno for a weekend. Just two hours away and as little as 30 minutes to Mt. Rose (1 to 1.5 hours to the rest of Lake Tahoe). Check out this review of a beachside cottage at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.

FYI: You can book a $250 round-trip flight to Reno on weekends, stay at a casino for about $50 a night, and — if memory serves and they’re not shut down — even take Uber from downtown Reno to Mt. Rose!
