This is even better than the annual companion fare that comes with the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card. That companion fare requires spending $99 plus taxes and fees, while this one is $0 plus taxes and fees. You can’t argue with zero.
I have already confirmed with Alaska that you can use this code more than once. If you have plans to travel in 2020, book all of your travel today. And if you have MVP Gold or 75K elite status, then you already know there’s no risk involved because changes and cancellations are free! It’s a shame that you can’t use this for something like Seattle to Maui (or in my case, Austin to Maui), but no surprise there. People will pay through their nose to get from the PNW to Hawaii this time of year, and Alaska Airlines is still fighting a big battle to win marketshare in the markets I just listed. Consider that Southwest is moving into Hawaii, the California market has always been competitive, and Alaska’s name isn’t well known on the East Coast. But hey, whatever the reason, it’s still a great deal!
