Review: Plaza Premium Lounge Siem Reap, a Priority Pass Lounge

by James Dozer
Last updated February 15, 2023

The Plaza Premium Lounge Siem Reap Airport is located airside in the international departures terminal. After you exit passport control and the duty-free shopping arcade, make a right-hand turn and follow the signs to the airline lounges. The Plaza Premium Lounge will be located down the hall next to the Bangkok Airways Lounge.

The Plaza Premium Lounge is a contract business class lounge for airlines such as Cathay Pacific/Cathay Dragon, Singapore Airlines/Silkair, China Eastern and Priority Pass members. The lounge is open from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM daily. Priority Pass members are limited to a 3-hour maximum stay. For a contract lounge at a small airport, the Plaza Premium Lounge is a fantastic lounge.  The space is beautiful with plenty of comfortable seating for passengers to rest and relax and useful workspaces for business travelers to be productive.

As you enter the lounge, there is a small section of individual work pods located to the front. The pods are a little on the small side but I absolutely love these as they offer plenty of privacy, individual reading lamps and universal electrical outlets at every seat. If you just want to zone out with a good book or fire off some last-minute emails, these will be great for you. Password protected WiFi is provided throughout the lounge.

If the pods are a little too restrictive for you, you can grab a seat at one of the two communal worktables located in the center of the lounge. These provide more space to spread out but they also offer less privacy from your fellow passengers. Universal electrical outlets are also provided at each seat.

Behind the two work areas is a dining area with tables and chairs and a full-service bar with complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

There’s also a food station with a self-service buffet, salad bar and a made-to-order noodle bar.

The main seating area of the lounge offers plenty of comfortable seating for passengers to relax and universal electrical outlets at every seat to keep your cell phones and tablets charged.

But what I love most about this lounge is the outdoor terrace. On a beautiful day, you can sit out here with a cup of coffee and enjoy some fresh air before having to sit in a metal tube for the next couple of hours. The outdoor terrace offers plenty of covered tables and chairs and the open-air space allows for plenty of sunshine.

Bathrooms are located inside the lounge along with one single shower suite. The shower was occupied when I visited so I didn’t get a chance to peek inside but I’m sure it was nice.

Plaza Premium Lounge Siem Reap Bottom Line

Overall, I was very impressed with the Plaza Premium Lounge at Siem Reap Airport. For such a small airport, I really didn’t expect much but this lounge really hit it out of the park. I appreciated the comfortable seating options, spaces for business travelers to work and the hot food options including the noodle bar. The lounge design was thoughtful and the easy access to power outlets and WiFi made it convenient to stay fully charged and connected.
